Kinetic Pets is a mobile advanced surgery and rehabilitation service that travels to Host General Practice Hospitals in Central and Northern Florida. We are looking for a highly motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our team in a full time or part time position.

Veterinary Nurses who apply should possess independence, initiative, and attention to detail. Due to the nature of our mobile service, Kinetic Pets takes pride in being able to educate General Practices in orthopedic radiographic positioning, anesthesia, and post-operative care. While expert knowledge is not immediately required of you upon hire, you will need to be an educator throughout your employment. We provide training for skill sets that are not currently possessed.

Typical daily duties include, but are not limited to traveling to hospitals, assisting host hospital staff place intravenous catheters in surgical patients, answer questions regarding anesthesia protocols, setting up the surgical suite, prepping patients for their procedures, sterile assisting, cleaning and packaging instruments, assisting in post-operative radiographs, maintaining daily flow if there are multiple procedures, inputting client information for discharge instructions, and communicating with clients regarding their post-operative questions. On days with no scheduled surgeries, you may be required to come to Kinetic Pets Headquarters to process instruments and get cases organized for the following days.

Requirements:

Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted
Proficient communication and typing skills
Goal oriented positive attitude
Reliable Transportation

Preferred Skills Set:

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
Experience in a specialty surgical practice
2+ years experience as a veterinary nurse

Schedule:

Monday through Friday
We are always CLOSED on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays
